The k3-k7 (2003 to 2007) are single spark engines
K7 onwards they are twin spark heads.

The connection on the single spark ecu looks like this

Mine is a 2005 and he assures me it will fit on mine. But I have read that 2007 onwards is different plug than 2003-2006? Can anyone shed some light on this matter?

Thanks, Pat
It may be that his 2007 was actually a K6 machine (2006 bike) pre registered or that the new bike came out for the 57 plate bikes. It's easy to tell them apart. The earlier ECU's have 1 long plug along the complete length, the later ECU's have this plug split into 2.

The 33bhp ECU I was looking at on Ebay has already passed 60 quid so after spending 47 on two washers and a throttle stop this wasn't a option. So I just spent all night messing around with the bike, taking air box off, propping up throttle body and fiddling endlessly passing the throttle stop behind the cables and screwing it up. ALL DONE

One thing I did notice after I propped the tank up is that there's a transparent tank under there with minimum and maximum marks on the side of it. Does anyone know what fluid is in this tank as mine is showing low?

Thanks a bunch

if the fuel tank was brimmed when left the petrol it will still be good, changing the petrol wont get rid of any varnish and deposits left by old petrol, and its fuel injected so no fuel related problems there,if only a few litres left in tank then flush it out as just like other products it will go of in the presence of air,if the oil hasnt done many miles then no real need to change that, and the antifreeze will last years, best check tyres for flat spots or cracking as these can deteriorate with age,and unless youve got a good batterie it may well need charging or changing
