Good morning all.
One problem with torque wrenches, is that they're often only accurate for a percentage of their scale. In fact, Snap On only guarantee that their mechanical torque wrenches are only accurate in the upper 80% of their scale. Hence I have 4 of the beggars. To cover everything. Larger fasteners, such as wheel spindles are relatively easy to tighten sufficiently without stripping them. It's the smaller fasteners that most folks strip. You should see the amount of thread repair inserts we fit to stripped 6 & 8mm threads. In short. A 1/4 inch drive torque wrench which usually have a range of up to 25nm is a good investment.
