Mine is an 08 pointy, for reference.
But for me when the fuel pump fuse was blown, not even my dash comes on. The background light of the dash comes on, but no digits on the screen, for example. But any suggestion is better than none, so check that fuse ![]() |

Thanks all - really appreciate all your help. I'll have a look at all fuses tonight out of interest as he only checked the ignition fuse and the main fuse.
Annoyingly, £22 quid in petrol was spent on Monday too - getting me to work all week - and so far i've spent £40 on train fares to London! |

Turns out it was something which blew/melted in the ignition barrel. They're replacing it under warranty with a new barrel and lock set being fitted. I'll find out more when I collect it tomorrow.

Find out if it was inside the ignition barrel body or the ignition barrel Connector. Ask to see the part taken off and inspect the green connector's contacts.
I say this from experience that if it is the Connector which went Open circuit/melted then the Bike's Loom Connector could have been affected also. If the bike's loom connector contacts are damaged then this fault could easily occur again. Changing a lock set is one thing but replacing a loom is another!
