Interesting how the Indians seemed pretty confident about their abilities until Pakistan did a few tests

Atomic weapons testing, how many do you think?
There was an interesting documentary some years ago which discussed nuclear weapons. The French insisted that they were safe but were challenged why they didn't test them in France then (they tested in the pacific). They said "we do test in France". The interviewer said no, you test in the pacific. And the French minister said "yes, we test in France". It was really quite funny - a great example of the French stubbornness.
