Default Re: Vaccine questions

This made me smile - the EMA (European Medicines Agency) haven't approved the Pfizer vaccine yet and Germany is pushing for them to hurry.
In an article describing this, there was unfortunate choice of words (my stress):

"The German Hospital Association chipped in Tuesday as well, demanding that the agency issue emergency authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. That way, it says, workers can go into nursing homes to vaccinate those most at risk of dying from the virus."

That'll stir up the anti-vaxxers.

The EU regulatory authorities may be more worried about people dying 'from' the vaccine' - the Pfizer type messenger RNA ( mRNA ) vaccine tech has been round for nearly 3 decades, and very tellingly has never been approved for use on humans. The EU probably think UK is suffering from a case of premature inoculation - bought about by a political decision ( rather than strictly medical one ) to allow UK population to be used as guinea pigs.

The EU is dead against GMO and DNA manipulation in pretty much everything, and the RNA vaccine is just that....

That was my thoughts on the rushed approval. We've approved it to be used as a test bed for it in society, and with various conditions & medicine crosses it has not yet been tested on . . . . .

I'll not be going for it, or any vaccines, if offered the opportunity
