talking to the guys at sharples and they said the 208's would wear quicker than the 010's.however when you consider i saved around £70 compared to the bridgestones i can live with having to buy a new rear a little sooner.
still made up with the 208's. turn in is definitely slower and they tend to run wide compared to the 010's or maybe thats because i'm riding faster...my ridelikea**** streak is rearing its head again ![]() they seem smoother on the road and dont track grooves as much as the 010's.braking has a lot more feel but that maybe my new pads finally bedding in(coincedence it happening just as i swap tyres though) all in all very impressed and will be staying with 208's for the forseeable future |

These tires perform better than any other tire that I have been on. The only issue is that they wear faster than any other. But... what do you expect out of a soft high performance tire. I took about half of the tread off on 4 days on my trip from Minnesota to California and back and am none to happy about wasting that much rubber.

Just fitted my second rear D208, £82.50 balanced, new valve etc from Sharples Tyres, Bolton. I've managed over 6000 miles on it, I was told that I would be lucky to see 4000. My daily commute is 70 miles on motorway and dual carriageway, and I do liie to win the traffic light grand prix

I'm actually getting pretty good grip in the cold and wet conditions right now.
Had a bloke run a red light in front of me as I was about to turn right and as I was leaned over had to use rear brake. Very, very predictable slide and didn't even have to dab the foot down. Really good confidence inspiring tyres and wear not too bad.About 2400 miles and still round at the back. On my gixer I used a Michelin pilot by that time. |

Well I was thinking of fitting Dunlop D208 tyres to my SVS after reading the comments here I will fit them as I dont like the standard Metzlers fitted they dont instill any cofidence in me as to grip or feedback.
Life is to short to be unhappy so live for today tomorrow may never come. |

Have to say had D208's fitted last week and they are brill. Much, much better than the Metzlers. Loads of grip, came in very useful Sunday when a prat in a cage pulled out in front of me on a dual carriageway.
girlie comment - they look purdy too ![]() |
