I done it a couple of years back, delivered to the door, even got to keep the crate it can in.

See my post here (5th down).

http://www.bikersoracle.com/suzukisv...hread.php?t=62

Saved about £880, bit a paperwork, but you can do it all yourself.

rode first winter without carb heaters, didn't have much of a problem.

Got UK lights off Ebay £50, and clocks from a breaker £90.

also picked up another set of uk carbs last winter (mine needed a strip-down after 80,000 mls) for £35 and they had heaters.

So of the £880 I saved it cost me £175 to change it to uk spec, still a saving of £705.

would I do it again? well if I was looking at a new bike, then if the sums worked out at asaving of more than £400 then yes. ( Oh, and just for info Suzuki will honour the 2 year warrenty, but you don't get the 1 year AA cover(NCI £34 a year)).

Cheers Mark.
