Symptoms: Riding along and when i pull the throttle their seems to be a knocking sound which is on and off all the time when i pull the throttle. I checked the chain and it wasnt hot at all so i dont think its a chain tight spot. How old is the chain? What you describe above is chain related. It sounds like the front sprocket is on its way out. What happens is, the sprocket teeth, instead of being pointy, beome claw shapped and the noise is the chain releasing itself over the 'claw'. Now, i have been advised that to get the best life out of a chain, is to fit a scotoiler(i can recomend it) and also fit a Suzuki OE front sprocket, as apprently they are much tougher than any pattern part.

So i would start with the chain and sprockets.

As for the rear brake issue, could be that the caliper needs serviceing as it sounds like the pistons are binding.
