Tre is the timing retard elliminator mod. It is achieved by wiring a 15kohm resistor to fool the engine management that the bike is in 5th or 6th gear all the time if memory serves. Your best bet is to pm Coombest as he did a pictorial guide to this mod and did mine for me.

Cloggsy, if you are ever over this neck of the woods, get yourself over to Rockets in Blackburn. They do the Yoshi remapping (Im getting booked in there shortly for mine so can report on the job soon) and are pretty cheap. Its a brand new building with top of the range dyno equipment too. Very nice set up.
I think the re-map should only cost about £35 - I dunno about the Dyno runs though... Will you get a before & after run done

Let me know the costs etc mate

My K3 gave 74.6 DIN HP at the rear wheel.
BMC air filter, high-level renegade and a power commander. Compared to 69 DIN HP with just the race can and normal filter.

I didn't fit the PC for more power though, I fitted the race can first (for the sound) and it upset the fueling such that the bike would stall when downshifting at high speeds.

The PC sorted that out but the biggest difference was in the smoothness of the throttle response. It's now beautiful and i can now wind it gently on mid-corner and get a nice linear response with no snatching. tbh I dont notice the extra horses but it does have better torque from about 4k and I did rape a K2 off the lights on farringdon road.

I had it all done by Crescent Suzuki in Verwood who did an excellent job. I ride down there for servicing now as they have a gallery where you can sit and watch your bike being worked on. Had my 15k service done by them, valve clearances, new coolant, brake fluid etc, all done in front of me.

I fitted a PC to my K3 after getting it secondhand at a very good price (from SV650.org)

The previous owners bike was very similar spec (just a K3 with a race can) so I used the same map. Again the biggest difference was the smoother power delivery.

I am probably going to get an aftermarket filter next year and a remap.

Curium - have you uploaded your map to the central PC archive? Looks like it may be close to what i'll be afer.

Cheers
Rich

Just been looking up K&N stuff for the K3...

You'll need a KN-138 Oil filter & a SU-6503 Air filter (if you want K&N stuff)

Cheers Cloggsy - what's the best price you have found?

Just been looking at the renegade airbox conversion - looks really cool but a lot more expensive compared to a simple filter swap.
