I'm about to purchase these a bit cheaper than the asking price and use them on my SV. Will I have any problems???
My pet hate is people who end auctions early. It's just not fair on everybody else you is interested in bidding on the item.
I know what you mean but at the same time loads of people keep waiting till the last moment so I can understand why some sellers have no qualms about ending early. It's probably worse if the seller puts no reserve on the item so to him it's a case of take a reasonable amount by ending early or take a chance that there will be a few reasonable late bids.
It is against the eBay rules to do withdraw auctions before the end, particularly if you don't give a warning that it might happen. It's a shame because some people will only bid just before the end to get it at the best price which, after all, is the whole point of an auction.

There was a guy selling a crash damaged SV650K3 the other day. He originally wanted 800 quid for the engine and after a number of months the bike turned up as one lot. A few hours before the auction ended (with no bids and the price still at 1500 quid) he pulled the auction. On the phone he declared he'd rather crush it than sell it at that price.

If I could swap the SV bearings into the GSXR wheel (its a 2000) will the floating discs from the bandit/sv then fit?

Your are right Mike but I'm sure you get where I am coming from. Some bidders withdraw bids, win stuff and change thier mind etc. I'm just say it might not be playing strictly to the rules but ....

Personal if something is worth say something costs £1000 originally but if bought from breaker say £500 and someone has it for sale witha starting price of say £10. nine day auction with 3 days to go and no bids, if I come across it, want it and can contact the seller directly who is then happy to take £250 I've got no qualms with buying of him(again against Ebay rules but do I really care?). I guess you could say he should have atleast put a reserve on it.

My best buys from ebay have being when I've just stuck a maximum bid no matter how long to go and left it at that but again don't really work that way for everyone, does it.

Cheers
Ben
