I've just turned up my evaluation of Scorpion cans by about 15db I'd somehow missed how much of a racket they make...

Repacking's more important for carbon and titanium race cans... Carbon cans can burn through if not properly packed, and titanium can discolour. You have to do it with most race cans, but not with chambered "traditional" exhaust cans (race cans are just a hollow pipe with a second, perforated pipe through it, surrounded by fibreglass (IIRC) packing.

never done it myself but it looks pretty simple, especially on a rivetless can.

Carl - I am in Soton, however sadly I no longer have the cans - I took them off the 650 when I sold it, and sold them to Kinesin who was very happy with them I think!

I paid about £600 for the high level cans, which included new link pipes and a 'cap' to convert back to a single pipe for MOT time. If you don't want to go for the twin cans at the moment, they can fit just one pipe but set it up so that you can add the second link pipe and can later. Even with the high levels, you can still keep the pillion pegs - if you go for the carbon cans, then there are no issues whatsover with the cans getting hot - they don't! (apart from the stainless end caps that is)

I have found a link to a 'curvy' 650 with the same set up that I had- see here:-

http://www.renegade-products.com/ren...tml?1029064242

I now have a SV1000, as soon as I have the spons I will be sticking a pair of Renes on that.

If you fancy a trip up to Renegade, let me know - I might be able to get a pass for a day out!

I'll give Remus the thumbs up. Great sound with baffle in or out, good fit with quality fittings. Got my titanium revolution from an ebay shop for £218 delivered about 6 month ago but not seen them advertising recently.

Must admit I like the high level option but think it would have to be twin high level! Its all sooooo very tempting thats it im off to have a listen at the remus pipeage now! Dunno what finish I like though I have a blue (K3) bike but dunno about carbon or titanium. My girlfriend does come out on it so will be part of the deciding factor!

P.S MattSV Iv'e seen (and heard!), a SV1000 at Crescent's with twin Yoshimura's (think thats how you spell it!), and it sounded very nice! Just a thought as they would bolt straight on (yes BOLT on!) It was also a limited edition sprayed like a GSXR and looked sweet. Bit better than the Rizzla ones they have at the mo! P.S how much am I talking for twin rene's if you don't mind my asking? (If you do then tell me to shove it I wont mind!)

I wrote a load earlier saying something about too much choice etc and off to listen to goodies but it didn't post! Oh well had a listen on these crappy speakers and was impressed by Remus. Oh gosh I just dunno what to do twin high level = But lack of undertray and belly pan with it = Any way Mattsv:- I saw a SV1000 sporting very nice twin Yoshimura's down Crescent's once and sounded good. Thier main site at Eblake ind est has a Rizzla coloured one with them on so I'm sure they'll let you have a listen!
