Although pretty pointless and no doubt a wholely unanimous decision, at least this thread will bring the forum together

Strange as it seems, I went from a ZX6r to SVS and dont regret it at all.
For what i need from a bike, the SV makes far more sense and i am more attached to it than i ever was with the Ninja. Dont really know why that is!

I bought it with the intention of being a stepping stone to a bigger bike, but really, for everything I want to do, it's great. Only thing I would like occassionally is faster 80-100mph acceleration (so I can pull forwards sharpish, like I do at lower speeds, when an idiot next to me decides to change lanes w/o looking and I can't throw on the brakes due to road surface or another imbecile cager tailgating me).

I can see myself keeping it for 4 years or so in total.

I think I'm fairly likely to keep her when I buy another bike.
She's nto a stepping stone for me, as such, but I will probably be buying a bigger bike in a few years.

never had a problem with that... the sv got me out of trouble pretty quick when a car pulled into my lane right next to me... suppose its a bit down to gears and whether your in the power band or not... I think I was so I got the required acceleration to get out of trouble.

possibly consider dyno'ing it that would give you a little bit more...

to be honest, a 600/650 does everything I need... not sure I want a bigger bike... Ive crashed enough and hurt on these let alone something bigger, faster and heavier...

I'm looking at getting a Sprint ST in a few years. So not exactly an ultrasports machine.
The weight of the bike isn't one of my issues and I haven't had problems with the power. It's my observation skills which need improving most.

After having alittle think... I wouldn't mind the SV1000s. But is there really any point for daily road use...
