A heartwarming tale of family love.

Zero tolerance is what Essex are proudly promoting now and have been for about a year or so. I work with the police and o****y road safety officers on a number of strategies in terms of commuity safety and I know that some of what's happening is needed (Braintree area having one of the highest scooter accident rates in the UK) Within this - I agree there are good ones and bad ones in all area forces. As an example a colleague is a police officer and her hubby and his mates (also officers) are riders. Matey is out for a ride and gets stopped twice on his Harley - the first officer admires the bike and wishes him well. The second officer (a bit later on the ride) gives him a ticket for a small plate. Consistency of approach always welcome.

This would deeply irritate me. A member of the public shouldnt flag you over, stop you and waste your time chatting about your bike and neither should a policeman. Trying to be nice is a complete was of public funds and an abuse of office.

[Perhaps tho its an excuse for random pulling over... ]

Don't worry Ian, its only zero tolerance for motorcycling issues, not you in general. But anyway you have us for that
