never heard of anyone not getting a claim settled due to a race can, if in doubt you just get it swapped before the assesor looks at the bike, considering it usually takes weeks anyway...

Never been stopped for my Can, and its a rather harsh Art... altho its now a Rene and will shortly be Twin rene's

Is there a difference? I thought all road legal cans had to be e-marked?

I am paranoid!

I just hope the company I ordered it from will be ok in changing the order, the RL can is more expensive anyhow so they shouldn't have an issue. :P

Are those marked NFRU though?

I agree about swapping it over - I'm just thinking of this particular scenario:

I crash into a road user - my fault, bike written off, police are called, police see illegal can - noted down on record, gets passed to my insurance company - claim void!

Make sure its a removable baffle RL if you do change. I bet Im more paranoid than you and I would ahve had the Yoshi had I been able to find one (only as Im a tart and I like 'Yoshi' ).

Well all road legal cans will be e0-marjed or BS marked, but all I mean is theres a world of difference from a can saying nothing on it to one saying NFRU...at least in my weird mind

competition use only

Friend of mine got hit from rear, rather than std can they agreed he could have twin race rene's thru the insurance claim so I doubt there's a problem with them

You'd be very unlucky for the police to take details of the bikes exhaust from an accident

aint paranoia great, just get a road legal if your that fussed, but how many bikes do you see on the road with legal cans ?

I will ring up and check right away!

I'm sure the Road Legal version will have removable baffles, it'd be mad not to!

Hehe. I'm not on the line until the end of this month, which is good as I've been able to spend a small fortune on things - house extension starting soon along with new porch, new conservatory, new garage, new tyres for my car, my new bike, end can, headphones (Grado RS-1s, excellent!) - and helping the Mrs get some experience with her bike.

Plus at the moment I'm working as a contractor of IT services to keep my skills ticking over and the money coming in - databases - not very interesting in the slighest. But with the state of the airline industry at the moment, it's probably the best thing I can do. Redundancy City

There's no glamour in the world! Redundant airline pilots, ships captains, adventurers, cads, explorers. Even here in my ivory tower we dont have time or resources to spend all day waxing lyrical while seated among adoring students any more....more time spent pushing paper around and jumping through hoops.
