redeye look at my pics of my forum- the best colour its official- you will see my chicken strips....good thing is I can see em too cos I am alive ! and not got drawn into peer pressure to get rid of em..

All small chicken strips do is show that you just have confidence in the tyres ability to grip. They don't mean your a quick rider, nor that you're dangerous; it's pub talk really.

Most people get rid of them slowly as they learn, without thinking about it. It just happens as they get more experienced.

Having said that, I've seen a Gixxer thousand with 3" chicken strips. That made me laugh

Chicken strips - generally seen on 916 style ducatis in pubs near me - owned by middle age men who buy the BRAND cause its cool...

please let me say not all Ducati riders are like that but a lot of em at the Carbeth are
