Well, they're shiny, if that's what you mean. Or at least they can be. But they're not chromed, that's a whole other kettle of fish that has no place on anything but a cruiser Or maybe that R1.

Basically, good stainless will last as well or better than any of the other finishes- ti keeps well but marks up when worked with, but anodised ally doesn't always last too well. One or two of the bolts I had on mine had flaked and whitened a little.

I'd seriously recommend Chewy's kit, superb value for money when you consider that it's a perfectly matched set. I've taken it a wee bit further with the extra bolts but his cover most of what you'd want.

Can you tell me the others that you changed and I will try to add it to the kit. Didn't think I missed any, It's just that I only had the bike 02 650s for 24 hours while the owner had mine.

I'll try and put together a list, but it'll be very small Most of the other stuff I've done has been either hidden, nonessential or aftermarket.

I think the bloke who owns pro-bolt lives two doors away from me.
I say owns, as he is always driving big 4x4s with Pro-Bolt all over them and he lives in a big house (bigger than mine).
Would people be interested in me asking if he will do us a deal if we buy a bunch off him?

Visit www.tastynuts.com to have a look just how many different bits you want.

What are the anodised bolts made of ? - I fancy some if I'm going to rebuild my engine, but not too keen if they are soft aluminium

They're pretty soft aluminium.
