yeah, i've rode past penrith a number of times and usually end up lost in the lakes...

the run from hartside to penrith is almost as good or even better then the run from hexham to hartside.

Really nice sweepers on that stretch of road, good visibilty as I remember.

the plan is to meet up outside Ken's motorbike shop at 10am... and then head towards barnard castle to have smt to eat.. and then to hartside... should be back early afternoon i think.. but its open to suggestion on the day depending on moods.. a quick dash to lakes might be on the card also..

maybe 1:30 - 2 ish... but if you giza your number, i can text you just before we set off from barnard castle, now i can't remember how long it'll take from barnard castle to hartside (within speed limits...emm or near about). any ideas?

I will be fairly easy to spot/hear, and my little boy has Dalmation ears on his lid

OK where were you

i was there from 10:30 ish to 13:00 snapping the bikes as they came up the hill at the said hairpin.

emmm, got there about 1:40pm ish (had a trip to kielder water before headed towards hartside). didn't see anyone at the hairpin... and it had hundreds of bikes parked at the caffee. but did notice a guy standing on top of his van (about 1/4 mile from the caffee alston way) taking pics with a D SLR on all the bikers flying past... was that you? i was expecting you to be with your bike, so i just gave him a wave and noticed the flash came after my bike have just passed him

but after a while i thought, emmm. that could be amarkos like..

mind you, that was about 3:50pm ish when we were heading towards barnard castle.
