I reckon master cylinder of a TLR is what you'd want, unless you can find a radial Brembo....

What can I say but . Well impressed with the way it has turned out. Hopefully I can have a spin at some point .

Burner , it's probably cheaper to just buy the bearing. A stem swap would cost you a minimum of £50

The good thing about the stem swap is I can swap between the SV and GSXR quite easily. Recently I've run GSXR1000K2 , 750K2 , 600K2 forks.

Northy you might want to have a look at the fireblade(2000-2001) bars(pretty sure they are 50mm). They are a bit higher than the Gixer ones but don't know how long they are.

Surely with higher bars you'll need to get the nekkid models control cables?

I'd really love to do a USD front end swop but without a garage it just makes my bike too stealable. When I had my streetfighter the local chavs kept peeling back the cover to check the front end, I had RWU forks.

Could swap the stem but without a press it'd still cost- also I believe you'd need to build or have built a spacer for the top yoke as well. The bearing's a roller type rather than ball, if that makes any difference. Also, buying it keeps Zoran sweet when you've spent 3 months asking him stupid questions The big selling point for me was that I could do all the work myself- if I'd had to remove the yokes then go to a dealers to get the stem swapped, that would have meant a day on the buses when I could have been mullering bearings.

Burner, the GSXR bars end up lower than the SVs were so I reckon I could go up around an inch without changing any cables- the front brake lines are now over-long and look a bit daft... As it is the riding position's slightly more aggressive, which is fine, but the bars are also slightly narrower which made fitting up the controls a wee bit tricky. Also, the cable clearance betwen fairing and bars isn't too good, my RHS heated grip cable is giving me gyp.

Thanks for the tip on the Blade ones Ben, apparently Vortex do high bars for the GSXRs too. Not put much thought into it yet TBH.

What's next? First, finish up the front end Then off to the dyno, long overdue... Then the Poly 26 lowers (or maybe I'll rebuild the Pyramids bellypan, still undecided) and respray... maybe rearsets, don't know about that yet. That'll be pretty much it for this year I think, next year the swingarm's definately getting looked at, and maybe some more engine work, once my wallet's filled up again!
