There was a blue sv @ scarborough which had taken a slide after a car hit him (he was wearing a shirt and was VERY lucky).

With R&G's his SV slide damage was snapped gear shift, scraped fairing and grinded bar end.

The R&G never touched the floor, so sometimes they evidently don't work.

The only way that would happen would be if something prevented the bike from touching down fully, a leg for instance
