i know what you mean about the lean angle

i have gone into gap in a busy bike park right after another bike has just left the space and found that i am almost touching the bike on my left, it gets a little embarrsing after a while

i can also see what people mean about the stand not going forward enough, i oftern double check because it never quite look right

agree with all of the above !!

side stand does seem too straight to me - not far enuff fwd..

incidentally - wen I sat on Peter Henrys (DUCATI scoobs...Ducati !!)

i had to pop the stand up and when i put it down..it clicked very far forward and booom- wot a substantial stand that is..

so that could be the answer..
lets all get a Ducati 749 sorted!!

The only way to park your bike is like Steve Martin does with his old black and mean Harley in Little Shop of Horrors. Any other way simply doesn't cut it .

LOL

Yeah that was quite funny. When I first got my SV I found parking it, especially on inclines and declines, rather tricky since that sidestand seems like it can move easily on it's own. However, I have never dropped it because of the sidestand, though I have come close....

I think you will get better at parking it with enough practice, and you can always leave the thing in gear if you are worried about the sidestand.
