It was interesting to read the roadtests in Ride, or was it Bike? With no comment about the suspension on the SV. Boasty just said it was the best no frills bike and won by a mile. Not one complaint about the suspension or setup. That speaks volumes to me, Having adjustable preload, rebound and compression damping is just another excise for poor riding skills. Its totally different on a racetrack, they need the adjustment |

I found that the naked k3 needs nearly full pre load on the front and full at the rear (althought my rear shock is knackered after 30k). At 12 stone i'd be surprised if the standard settings have too much, but you live and learn.

With the stock parts, I just mucked about with the preload adjustment till I had something that suited, since there's so litle adjustment available anyway...This approach does not work with fully adjustables
