Not saying wavys are meant for street use only. They are being sold as suitable for road use so it is reasonable for one to expect them to perform as a 'road bike' product should. Would it not be unacceptable for your OE discs to crack after a few thousand miles?

I thought fully floating discs were still illegal?

Did not say that . My comment(slightly tongue in cheek) was aimed at the EBC prolite. As far as I'm aware they are seen as replacement road discs and they just rust too readily. Never buy another one myself if I can help it.

Cheers

You see that first line I wrote there? Substitute "track" for "street" and it actually makes sense

Possibly full floaters are still illegal, and I was just making an observation about the EBCs I love mine, fwiw, yes they rust like mad but it comes off as easy as it goes on. I wouldn't rate them for a bike that sees less frequent use, mind...

i've got braking wavey discs front and rear on my hayabusa which i run with performance friction pads. no problems at all! got to say though i would say fair enough had your disc warped but to crack and then blame it on the pads used sounds a cop out to me!
