When should you renew the carb diaphragms?

Well thats good news . Have now restricted bike and dropped washers on jets to richen mixture as well.
Rubbers looked slightly deformed but still in pretty good nick, so thats good news allround, and bike actually still works as well.
Used photo guide that TSM posted on 20 july, only prob was mine is a S model and had to take one side of fairing off to get to front carb inlet screw but once that was done it was actually easier than guide, only had to unconnect petrol pipe and did rear carb while it was still in situ.
Now only to get son insured for it,was originally told would cost £70 to change insur from 125 to SV, now they are quoting £160, oh well time to start shopping around again.

Nice to see that someone followed my How-to & found it easier.

I just did not want to do it in situ incase i lost any bits.

An S model can be an **** a bit. It depends on how the rings that hold the carbs on are positioned & how small your hand is. When i last dynojetted the carbs it was much easier to change and i did not have to remove any fairing panels.

PS. nice to see someone actualy positive on fitting restrictors.
