I don't have much experience of the brand specifically, but the Koyo bearings I bought for the replacement wheels on my Kwak were supplied to me by a bearing factor, they are sealed bearings and the man who sold them to me, (whom I know well and have dealt with for some years), recommended them.

He sold me both steering bearings for the Kwak at the same time, (SKF) for about £12-£15, Kawasaki wanted - are you sitting down? - deep breath - £34 for the bottom one alone, ouch.

Oh dear , we are all having a bitchy moment aren't we - however in this we seem to have forgoten the question about copper grease. Don't use copper grease in roller element bearings it won't work in fact from memory it will probably curdle (yes like milk) and will cause premature failure of the bearings, also if the bearings are double sealed how do you intend to grease them?? A good tip is to lightly grease all spacers, washers and recesses that wil all help. IMHO I'd go for SKF any day PS In most cases of roller element bearing failure over greasing accounts for more thasn 50%.

Well FYI they are Jap but MANUFACTURED in CHINA and are crap just ask anybody who ones a Busa okay a humble SV650 aint going to worry wheel bearings much,
As I said its your choice but I personally would NEVER fit a KOYO bearing to any of my bikes as they are crap case closed.

Koyo To Supply Jaguar XJ-Series Wheel Bearings 22 Jan 2004

Koyo is pleased to announce that from January 2004 we will be supplying 100% of front wheel bearings fitted to the Jaguar 'S' type and the new XJ vehicle.

The wheel bearing is an advanced Generation 3 hub unit with integral sensor manufactured at our Barnsley site.

This new business will compliment our existing front wheel business on the Jaguar XK8.
Like i said mate, research is key Some people never learn do they !!!

Bruceys post deleted for simple rudeness. That's enough boys and girls, no need for anyone to get their handbags flying.

Thread locked. Thank you and goodnight, Sid Squid.
