Thanks for all the support. I felt like hot-5h1t because I'd gone 3 months without dropping my first bike. But in the back of my mind I knew it would happen some time.

I'll also need to buy a new helmit - any suggestions? I'm going for between $200 - $300 USD - or anything that feels as comfortable. I was wearing an Icon Mainframe Halo at impact

It's not cracked but I'd rather ride safe than sorry. I was looking it over last night and it flexes a little under pressure - I don't know if that's normal or not.

It is normal for a helmet to flex a bit under pressure if you're talking about across the base, if there are no marks at all then you probably havn't done any damage to it or do you know that it def hit the ground fairly hard.
As for helmets, i've no idea what you have available in the good old U S of A, but i bought a Shoei Destiny Raid 2, it's the most comfy helmet i've owned.

Ooops, Sorry to hear about your off

As for your lid, if its impacted on the tarmac then personally I would replace it if it were me. It might not have any damage on the outside but you never know what its like underneath.

If you're in any doubt then get a new one.

I would agree with Foey, A Shoei Raid II should do the job, not sure what price they go for though. In the UK I think they are around the £200 mark

I think I will go with the same one. I paid $280 after tax for it, but I just found one for $185 shipped from ebay - saving money never hurts.

*EDIT*

One more thing. What's the best way to clean leather? Leather cleaner?? My jacket is all covered with dirt. There aren't any holes, just a few scrapes - I assume it's fine to keep wearing the jacket.

Yeah could use leather cleaner, could also try good old soapy water, wring the cloth out so it's only just damp then let the leather dry naturaly, if the scrapes are bad you could use some leather dye & then polish up with a bit of shoe polish.
