Because no one else in their right mind would buy it off me.

Also I can't afford to buy anything else.

And if I could, Sid Squid's is not up for sale yet. (SV1000)

This might seem daft for an inanimate object but...

I have grown very attached to my SV. Like we are soulmates. No really.
We learned to ride together, we fell off together, we scratch, hoon, trundle, show off in town like a lairy mad thing, tour together, suffer the rain and relish the sun. I trust it implicitly, knowing when I've pushed the limits or back off as it gives great feedback. I abused it and feel sorry for the battle scars I leave behind.

The whole lot. I never wince spending cash on the bike like I do the car, yet I love my new car too. If I get up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise on my day off, there is nothing better for your innner well being than a day dedicated to burning up a couple of tankfuls of Super-U just because you can.

Lots of other bikes do some of these things for most of us, but somehow the SV does it all for me. And after 6 1/2 years it feels like we've only just begun the journey.

Ride an SV? You know what I'm on about.

Looks.
Price.
Low insurance.
V Twin.
Low down grunt.
Not having to rev the nuts off it all the time.
It's fun.
Bark & burbble.

+ loads of other reasons if i'm honest, i love it.

In no particular order...

Looks
Power (as a newbie to bikes its just enough without being too much)
Noise now I finally have a can on it!
Ease of riding (it just seems to flatter my novice style!)

most of all whenever I think what I would like to replace it with - nothing comes to mind and I think that I couldnt bear to part with it! So I guess that means that I love it....!

Cos I can almost just about to afford to race one, if I live on basics bakedbeans on toast for the summer months!

Not really a great fan of twins generally; have quite enjoyed riding the TRX road bike I’ve got at the moment, but then that’s pretty revvy compared to the SVs I’ve ridden.
(Haven’t actually ridden a standard one yet, though)
