I did the first year of my mechanics apprenticeship before I jacked it in, as the guy who I was apprentice to was a complete c*nt and the experience put me off being a proffesional mechanic.

I always felt that I learnt more about engines and mechanicing messing around with my own cars & bikes, that said I always had (and still do) friends who could help me out and show me where I was going wrong when I got stuck.

When goin anywhere near your bike with brake fluid,try have a bucket of warm soapy water at hand!Mechanics spill it almost as often as novices The more carefull you are the more your hand shakes!! P.S those easibleed things are crap (and a liability) It's easier if you get a mate to work the lever for you.
