Yeah.
I am not sure why I posted that up here.
I just felt **** about it. I kept thinking about the kid, and the parents, and bothers and sisters.

And, the image, so small and broken. Just like a pile of clothes.
Yeah. Anyway, I am not sure what I was trying to acheive by posting it up. Probably could have kept that one to myself.

I know what probably happened, the zebra crossing is for a train station. I am sure the kid was running for the train. Probably late for school etc. I used to do the very same thing myself, running through traffic in Dublin to catch that train... We all do silly things maybe when we are late.

Anyway. It upset me. What can I say.

Philip.

And some people should keep their opinions to themselves. I personally found what you initally posted very insensitive.

I hear you...but if you post about your feelings on a subject then you surely expect someone else to post their feelings even though they conflict....freedom of speech....or maybe you should have kept that opinion to yourself Fizzwheel?

I hear what you are saying, I personally think that your initial response of this

"People get killed everyday...toughen up man it is a part of life"

Could have been worded a litle better and maybe some more thought put into it instead of IMHO blurting out the first thing that came into your head. If you had thought about it and posted a suitable worded reply expressing your feelings in a more suitable manner then I wouldnt have taken issue with what you said.

I do respect your opinion and I know of other people that feel in a similar way as you do.

Yes the world is a tough place and people pass away. However those people leave behind loved ones, sons, daughters, family and friends. Some of those people could be members of this forum.

I lost one of my friends a month ago tomorrow, he got knocked over by a car whilst walking along the pavement minding his own business. So maybe I'm a little sensitive at the moment. I just dont like the thought of somebody I know lieing in the middle of the road after being hit by a car and this is exactly the vision that was conjured up by the orginal post in this thread and thats why I found your response insensitive.

Don't start the "freedom of speech" argument again. We did that one last week. And the week before.

TC3, I don't know what you do for a living, but I'm a paramedic. ANY loss of life, no matter how it happens, is harrowing for someone. If you DON'T feel anything then you should be worried. It's not "part of life" as you so eloquently put it. Someone has lost their life in traumatic circumstances. Think about that for a second or two before posting a snotty reply. I realise you are entitled to your opinion, but not at the expense or ridicule of others.

Maybe i can clarify what i am trying to say. If i hear about a ship sinking and 100's are killed i think to myself what a waste of life and it is not a nice way to die but then i can stop those feelings going further. Some poeple around me get very emotional about the same incident and as Fizwheel stated it can be due to personnel emotions stirred up from some previous event they had gone thru...such as a friend dying and they think to themselves what if my bro or whoever was on that how would i feel.
Thats is where i differ as i do not think like that. I accept things as they happen. I am not scared of death but it does affect me if it is a familly and or friend who has died....only not as much as it affects some.
Can not explain it any better and do not think i need to explain it to anyone anyway....we are all different...not a bad thing really
