Tell me about them. I know its a budget bike but the reg/reg is a **** take

Sounds like his is turning over so i doubt its that. Could be a dodgy full pump. When you first turn the key can you hear a buzz and wurr as if its all stirring into life? Not when hitting the ignition just turning the key.

Default new bike

Hi,
I remember reading you previous posts. The one where you stated that you were picking it up the next day, and the one just after you had picked it up in the snow !!

How wet was it on the day of collection? In other words, just how much water did you get on the bike / electrics whilst riding home and have you ridden it since? and.......
Did you notice how many miles were on the clock when you collected it ? In other words was it test riden / PDI'd properly ?
I'm sure you will, but let us know what the poblem was - its gotta be something silly ?

I once heard a story about a guy with an MGB V8 who, when he bought it from new, said it ran "lumpy" (well for a V8 anyway). Anyways, after a compression test they found 1 cylinder had no compression at all, so decided to take that head off, only to find that there was no piston or con rod connected to the crankshaft

Sorry, I digress.

Are you getting the "buzz" after turning the ignition on ?

As it's turning over do you get a "check" come up on the dash ?

Do either of the plugs actually spark ?

.

Hi
Bike getting picked up tomorrow ( wife does not work tomorrow) as my boss won't let take time off work (w##ker).

Picked bike up in snow on Saturday , used Mon and Tuesday ( All in torrential rain) , done about 240 miles .
Bike does buzz when turn ignition on , turns over however will not fire, no check displaying on dash ......
Its not kill switch & does have petrol in it , may be fuel pump f##ked?
Bike had 1 mile on the clock when I picked it up , so someone had taken out as part of PDI

Hope to get it sorted as difficult to get to work without , also got a bollocking when late getting to work because bike won't start !

I'll let u know what garage says.

Cheers Steve

That sounds a bit like a flat battery.Either not charging or shagged battery.Wonder if it sat in the showroom for a long time without a charge?

Amark I must have an exception to the rule then.

Mine has been an absolute dog this week in the rain

Mis-firing all over the place and cutting out at lights...very embarrassing

Should be getting a fender extender from daddy sperm soon so hopefully that will cure the problem
