muc off is good.
but expensive. WD40 is the cheaper way of cleaning, but leaves your bike all oily and dirt sticks to it. autoglym wax is good, but meguirs wax (if you can find it) is a little more pricey, but the results are outstanding. |

I use the HG Muc-off stuff, I think of it as Rip-Off. It comes in a 5l tub for the same price as a litre of Muc-Off, but doesn't come with a squirty bottle. And paraffin is about a fiver for a 4 litre bottle, WD40's good and easy to use but so expensive by comparison.

pledge! That's a good idea.
Can you use that "ACF-50" (think its called that?) on the paintwork too or is it for metal only? i mean is it ok if it gets on the paint or will it damage it?. I use some car wash to clean non metal then put silicone spray on a rag and wipe a layer over everything for protection, then use brake/clutch cleaner(great for cleaning your wheels) or WD40 on anything metal, I do that when it starts to get cold then it has to wait till it starts to get warm again till i touch it ... I hate cleaning my bike in winter which would have to be the time when cleaning is most needed ![]() ![]() |

It's OK to get on paint, but a bit of a waste and won't do much protecting. it could remove any wax you have on already.
