Sorry to hear about your off. You sound very lucky to still be with us. It's one of my greatest fears being knocked off and then squished. Glad you'r relatively ok.

Get well soon. Don't give up, the vast majority of people have offs and carry on biking. Radox baths help ease the bruising/pain.

Unlucky Mate!

..still accidents like this help build up that sixth sense we rely on so much.

I was filtering down two rows cars the other day, I had just let a BMW RT rider through in front and was following closely behind.

A lad in his Clio did a quick lane change to gain 1ft in distance and nearly took the BM rider clean off, we are talking inches. The lad was on his mobile.

The Beemer guy just shook his head and rode on, ...I couldn't so I tapped on his window and administered a rollocking.

Lane jumpers are almost impossible to predict, they just don't look hard enough for bikes.

Good luck with the rebuild!

Blimey, thanks for the replies.. WEll took a few days off, backs still a bit sore but thats expected. Pedals are changed, just need to get some new indicators and i'll have to go naked for a few weeks till i get the fairing resprayed.

As said, im very lucky and i know that, im walking, and the bikes rideable. Considering the time of day and road i was on, im very lucky to get off so mildly. Another reason to go for good equipment also, it saved my skin.

Bugger, the simplest of taps on teh brakes + leaning over to get out the way = front end loss. Poo bugger.

In the meantime, public transport sucks.

Not just for your ears but everybody Filtering is one of the most dangerous
manoeuvres, we undertake and overtake at the same time and my impression is no matter how careful you are there is always some plonker willing to pull out in front of you I don't filter at anything above 20mph unless I have an escape route available in conjuction with braking. I have seen this happen so many times, especially on the A2 going towards the tunnel in the morning

Get well soon matey and for the grace of god go I------ALL BE CAREFUL
