I was waiting for you UlsterSV.
lol

I assume by "English" you mean British? So if I understand you correctly, you would sacrifice your identity for your life?

ha ha ha. So funny.
First off, yeah, oops, I meant British.
Second... emm, identity, hmm. Nationality. I would sacrifice my nationality, if the option was being dead.

I am Irish. I watch the Irish Rugby team. I have an EU passport. Other than that... meh, grand. Not that bothered. Irish is fine.

More important to me to be Philip. :P

Well my nationality is my identity. If I lose my nationality and ultimately my identity, I may as well be dead.

I'm British and Northern Irish. And I watch and support the Irish rugby team too

You'd want to watch that sort of talk around here man.
Touchy subject if you know what I mean.

I worked around Bilbao for a time: cracking people, hard working. Met some Euskal Herritarrok/Herri Batasuna guys too.....I was careful, let's say.

I still have many friends there and this is seriously good news for the Basque region, for Spain and for Europe.

Basta ya!

Default Excellent News

Basta indeed... we were living in Madrid when a judge got blown up by a car bomb and the local supermarket had a bomb explode outside it, again a car. Both times ETA claimed responsibility. Scary times, they were... BC

Northwind resists temptation to get into Northern Ireland conversation... And restrains himself to noting that the most vehement Irish loyalists all seem to live in Scotland.

Personally, i've never believed that the medium can cancel the method. In other words, if a cause is just no amount of terrorism makes it unjust. And I don't believe that accepting an argument that's been "supported" by terrorists is giving in to them either, sometimes they're just right. Nelson Mandela was a terrorist before he was a national hero. Giuseppe Garibaldi was a terrorist. (Giuseppe Conlon wasn't)

Well, only time will tell. The last ceasefire they called lasted a year, and then they went back to blowing up people when they didn't get their way.

That's the trouble with terrorists, they tend not to have that many moral concerns about lying

Interesting debate guys. As someone who comes from a country that is currently top of the " List of countries that are the axis of evil" i have many varied views on this. Many of them i'm keeping to myself.

Northy has hit the nail on the head for me with this perspective tho.
