nonsense - liquid doesn't expand when it gets hot. gas - eg air - does though

Every thing does, i think you need to google the word physics

If liquid doesn't expand then explain how a thermometer works brains

thats why its better to fill any car or bike up on a night, the fuel is at its thinnest and you can get more for your money,
there has been a survey done if you fill a empty car tank up on a night you can nearly get 1ltr more in.
this may seem tight but how many of you when driving (riding) look for the cheapest petrol stations.
if you can put an extra ltr in your car thats 95p/40 (average car tank) thats 2.5 pence a ltr better off so its worth filling up late at night.
Surely you are still paying for the same amout though, just you can fit more in so it will cost more?!

okay, okay, but only by a tiny, tiny fraction of a % per degree, hence why you need a bulb of mercury to be able to see the expansion up a tiny capilliary

gas on the other hand expands *vastly* more - boyle's law, blah blah
