Always keep my eyes out for any cars lookin suspicious in case they might be unmarked ones... dont tend to go too mad on the motorway and tend not to use it unless the weathers bad. Only time I use it is too or from work in bad weather, and they're always busy periods...

(and yeah M20 between Ashford and Folkestone)
There was a blue range rover on the northbound carriageway sitting waiting tuesday night just before junction 4 or 5, sorry cant remember which. I know theres a blue volvo thats unmarked. Dont have the plates though, just spot them pulled up with a car in the hard shoulder.

Marked cars I usually see between Ashford & Wrotham. One was sitting on the southbound police patrol vehicle area the other day past the m25/m20 slip road. They also tend to sit on the bridge over the bit up Wrotham hill just past the m26 turn off too.

Yeah, the couple of times I've been up the M20 towards Maidstone I've seen marked cars sitting on the patrol car verges...

Dont think there are any patrol car places on the Folkestone - Ashford motorway.

As long as they didnt get my plate and register my speed then I'm happy, nothing else to hide!

Automatic Number Plate Recognition.

Any outstanding issues you have, tax, insurance, Child Maintainence etc - if its outstanding and you drive pass an ANPR, they will pull all this information up and you will get caught for it.

Basically if you're anything except totally legal - dont drive.
or put false plates on to defeat the whole system in an instant

pebble dash the plate with mud or one well placed piece of dirt i heard that if you have an irregular size plate the anpr cant read them try cutting the corners of the plate making it more round

I've heard they can't read small plates so soon you'll get stopped and asked politely to change it to something legal. dunno if this is true.

Failure to rectify the plate, two rectification notices means the police can now write to DVLA to withdraw your reg number too.

Think Fraser confirmed that on another thread.

Im presuming that would then invalidate your insurance.
