I was given a severe talking to for knee down antics by some of the lancashire mob a few years ago. I only went around the roundabout 4 times.

TBH I would have thought this would be the easiest to one to get away with, as it's the only one that could be argued offered more control.
That might be possible. You have to lean a motorcycle to corner - undisputed fact.
The further that the bike leans, the less contact patch you have between tyre and road.
Hanging off the bike allows the bike to remain more upright in a corner, giving a larger contact patch and therefore better grip (I'm sure I read this in Bike).
You could claim that it is an accepted technique for cornering on a motorcycle (show leathers with knee-sliders as evidence of this).
Admit that it's not strictly necessary, but argue that it isn't actually dangerous, even if it does look as if it might be to the untrained eye. You might get away with it.

Or you could say that you had just 'saved it on the knee' and were therefore a total hero. Nice of them to stop and congratulate you

Its a good theory but I can't see that standing up in court.

Marko..Just goes to show then, that knee down antics are merely for people who take corners slowly. The rest of us are too busy gunning it through there!

*That should rattle a cage or three* :P

If you're unable to talk your way out of things once stopped, then unless you have a truly independent witness (not one of your mates on the bike behind) then you've got no chance at the magistrates court whatsoever.

Best to use your eyes and be as discrete as possible when attempting the illicit acivities afore-mentioned. We consider them fun, the law doesn't - and they'll be the ones that win.

Its what jonboy says, if the police feel you acting dangerouly your going to get the book thrown at you, and arguing is probaly only going to make things worse.
