I can remember watching "Marrs - Pump up the volume" in 1987 for the first time and thinking what a load of rubbish - now I think its a classic - how times change!

Used to watch it almost religeously, but TOTP started to go down-hill about the same time as Radio 1 did. I haven't watch it for years now.

Bit's I remember?

1. The classic Dexy's Midnight Runners and "Jackie Wilson Says" when some numpty put up a picture of Jocky Wilson in the background

2. The Smiths when Morrisey had foliage sticking out of his bum

3. When Oasis did "Don't Look Back in Anger" live..........fantastic

TOTP brought an oddly memorable moment for our family back in 1990. Does anyone remmber the tune "Here the drummer get wicked" with lots of saxophone on it?

Did rather well in the charts and peaked at Nš2. It sadly coincided with the Italia '90 world cup and those b*stards at the beeb choosing Nessun Dorma as their tune for the football coverage. Sales of that rocketed and LucianoPavarotti found a whole new audience.

My nephew Mark(stage name Chad Jackson) went back to street cleaning after the dissapointment.

Classic brand name is TOTP.I think the Beeb are wasting a resource here when they should be developing it.Must admit I prefere TOTP two.

I used to pretend to shoot the coloured 'vinyls' on the titles back in the 80's, with my 2 fingered gun!

You know, when the discs exploded on the screen! If you remember that title sequence.

Sad really....!!!
