Me either, but after talking to the tattooist and seeing some of his previous work, I really liked his use of colour - so let him have free reign and "have fun on me!"

Not really... a little tebnder parhaps and I get a bit of a twinge when I move my arm too much (dressing moves!)... Getting into my (one-piece) leathers will be interesting on my own shortly!!!

do you mind me asking how much did it cost?
Not at all - it was £180!
He charges £60 per hour with a minimum charge of £50... Well worth it, I reckon!

I'm OK thanks - been really busy with work which, being self employed is, i suppose, a good thing!
Been visiting local beer emporiums rather regularly as well!
Other than that - not alot!

The use of colour is excellent indeed, as is the eye within the flames.

The Phoenix itself is a bit 'blocky' for my personal taste, but then I'm a 'fine linework' kinda gal.

It's nice to see someone who can use contrasting and complimenting colours well. Using blues etc in flames, not what you would first think of, but very effective when done well (as there).
Use of colour was always my downfall - my monochrome work is all well and good, but colour, nah.

Now just remember, when it itches - don't scratch!

Well done on the tat. It's good. I am going a bit off a lot of tattoes recently, but that one is not bad at all.
For some reason I have a bit of a fascination with Phoenixes.

What I really wanted to say though, that the reason behind it, the big MS scare and nasty accident, are two things that you should never forget. I think this is when I realised I was an adult, once I got humbled in a similar way as you. You will understand what I mean when I use the word humbled. Also, my Mum has pretty severe MS... yeah. Its not nice at all.

So, nice tat, and nice reasoning behind it.
Now, get over to that Rabbit chicks house stat
P.

Edit: Whats the idea behind the Eye looking out through the flames?

That is a seriously cool tattoo!

My mate wanted something unique for his first tattoo and ended up having what can only be descibed as a bow drawn on his forearm! He insists that its a "cool pattern that means nothing"!
