You need the Alu-Rack itself (£84.99 for a pointy) and the adapter plate for the top-box (£29.18 for the Givi adapter). There are lots of pictures of Alu-Racks on SVs at Twisted Throttle. |

I plan to get a monokey base- easy to get on Ebay- and bolt it to a spare pillion seat. Nice and simple, that, though the position's not ideal obviously. Or I could attach it to my Sportsrack.
The trouble with the Givi rack- apart from being weak, and fairly badly designed- is that it looks like... Well... Here's Patrick McGoohan with a 50 litre Givi topcase attached. ![]()

Basically, you need to do what is best for you. If your practical need is such you need a secure top box then thats whats best for you. For me, practicality takes precedence over aesthetics with my bike. When I get a second bike, the rail will come off the SV. But until then, it stays. ![]() |
