I've fitted one of those to a K6 and it didn't need the tank lifted. Just removed the seat. Oh aye, tip- instead of putting the front straps round the headstock, if you just put them around the front of the tank it holds every bit as well but isn't such a pain if you want to lift the tank.

Can you slide them from the back with the seat removed?

I know I had to lift the 1000's tank a very small ammount, I now have spacers which lift the tank anyway. I took mine off such a long time ago and with only two thirds of a thumb I'm finding any mechanics easy....

Yup. Would've been easier with the tank up I reckon, mind.

That being said, I've got a blue one for grabs if anyone wants one?

Adam

We're talking about tank covers here. The baglux tank cover has a hole in teh middle to allow you to fill up with no removing necessary. However if you have a baglux bag clipped in place then yes, I believe you have to remove the bag itself to fill up with petrol.

For jsut a normal tank bag, it depends on how it is fastened to the bike. I usually fasten the front around the headstock, underneath the top yoke and the magnetic side flaps hold the tank bag in palce. To fill up, jsut lift the flaps up and move the tank bag aside. No problemo.

I just prefer the bagster covers as they protect the paintwork and to me...look quite nice.

On the pointy, yes.

When the baglux bag is clipped on, you undo the back two clips and then flip the bag up to get to the filler cap.

I have a mint baglux tank cover and matching bag both in grand candy blue to fit the pointies for sale. Pm me if anyone is interested!

Sv1000, I am interested in the blue cover if it's still available.

Sorry Mark, it's for the 1000. It won't fit the curvy 650.
