God man! I really enjoyed going through reading about your holiday. Almost felt like I'm there with you. Well written. Very honest accounts and no b*lls*it. Thanks for taking the time and share with us.

Its wider than it looks, Liz paddled the bike backwards and then we had to push it up a slight incline to get it back into the carpark. It was a bit of a struggle but the photo was worth it.

I have a phobia of water and edges that drop into water. I fell into a swimming pool when I was a kid and nearly drowned and I don't like edges.

No way was I going out on that slipway with the Gixxer. I think I was brave to walk out onto the other slipway to take that photo

Cool. I'll tell Liz you said that. You havent seen the state of the rest of her bike. I reckon you'll pass out when you see the downpipe

What an excellent write up Fizz. Did you just rewrite from a day diary or just have it all in your head?
Whatever, the report was first class and the shot on the slipway had me clenching me bits just imagining how you managed to retrieve the bike without going in!

Fizz, There is definitely a writer trying to get out of you

I had a notebook that I made notes in as to what the weather was like and what roads we'd ridden on, what the weather was like and the condition of the roads etc.

The rest of it I had in my head, reading back the notes helped me to remember what the roads were like and what it was like to ride. I was thinking about how to describe it all as I was riding along. Gave me something to think about during the long motorway stretches.

As for the slipway, Its wider than it looks on the photos, Liz sat on the bike and wheeled it backwards and then I pushed it from the front whilst she was sat on it to get it back up off the slipway onto terra firma again.
