need a decent amount of space to operate those croppers in the film.

Lesson is make your chain as inaccessible as possible, don't leave it on the ground and wind it round to take up any slack.

Security is so bloody hard, I've got my bike in a metal shed behind a 6' fence with 5 locks in all.

I've just looked through fresh eyes and can see a way to get the bike off my property in about 10 mins with very little noise. You've got to ignore the hype and glossy covers and take a serious look at what you can do. Haven't you ever locked yourself out and found a way into your house within a few minutes?.

Interesting video.

Does this mean those of us that own the easily cut chains have a claim against their manufacturers for being sold something under false advertising? The approval bodies are obviously under testing them if this video is to be believed.

"We guarrentee that even the most hungry bike theif will be able to chew through this chain in under 5 minutes..."

23 seconds. Good grief.

I recently bought one of Almax's series 4 chains and when you see the thing, it's obvious why it can't be cropped! The thing is a beast! The downside is you are never going to be able to carry one of these things around with you, but for use at home they are pretty damn good. The only other downside is because the links are so big, you are pretty much limited to locking the front/rear wheels (mine won't fit through the swingarm, whereas the 30second English chain I have, does) so it would be fairly easy to just take a wheel off and lift the rest of the bike.
