lots of classic bike owners use autosol and they wouldnt chance scratching there expencive classics.

Actually, while we're on the subject, anyone know if it's safe to use on a titanium can? The can seems to have a 'satin' finish and I don't want to balls it up!

dont know about that, but i used to use it on my old motad titanium and never had any probs.

You can always use a scotch pad to get the finish back

titanium, no, it says on a titaniam can, do not use abrasive metal polishes,

try using lemon juice (from lemons) on titanium, or autoglym metal polish, as that isnt abrasive as far as im aware.

autosol has left lots of tiny scratches in my stainless steel can,

Autosol on the front pipe is a waste of time in my opinion. Spend hours getting a lovely mirror finish, only for it to turn dirty bronze a few days later
The stuff is fantastic at cleaning metal, but not worth it on the pipes
