I spray a bit in the top of the can then just paint it on using a paintbrush, that way it doesn't get everywhere you dont want it to like on the paintwork and brake discs...a can normally lasts me a good 6 months

Also GT85 is cheap £4.49 a can from Halfords
I use GT85 too, it's nearly the same but not as efficient as ACF50, however i did coat the whole bike in GT85(Fairings n all) before i went to France and it did actually act as a barrier.

I PM'd fizz over this and this is what he said:

Theres two different types. Scottoiler make some stuff called FS365, its pretty good, but it has one drawback its water solluable so everytime you ride in the rain or wash your bike you have to reapply it.

If you can get it theres another product called ACF-50 which Northwind swears by, the use it on aeroplanes to stop them corroding. Its not water solluable so you just cover your bike in it and then come spring wash it off agani. Its supposed to be a much better product than the Scottoiler stuff. When I've run out of the scottoiler spray I'm going to get some.

I heard you should be careful with around the gear lever and linkage, because it can get quite sticky. Nothing a bit of WD40 won't cure, but that's what I heard.
