Gel Seats

I'm with Baph, I found it really uncomfortable at first and, like you, went looking for a gel seat. Now I've just got used to it, either my backside has moulded to the seat shape or vice versa. Give it a few weeks and you might be OK.

They are expensive but they are worth it, got corbin seat on my sv and my zx9

He could be worth contacting. Took about 6 weeks or so and was remarkably reasonable, as well as zero hassle. I asked, he said he'd try. Told me it had arrived, sent cheque, seat delivered. Supplied manual read, seat fitted!

I investigated a Corbin(?) seat because they were not far from Crescent where I got my bike but they were very expensive, although I'm sure that they're very good. My seat has proved excellent, although it did take a while to "bed in" even for an extremely lardy individual, like me!
