Work has banned msn :o(

http://webmessenger.msn.com/ is pretty good as it doesn't need to be installed, it just runs in the browser window. We use it at uni where messenger was banned

THey havnt banned it in our office but I try to keep all the staff using webmessenger so they dont start thinking about banning it.

As somebody pointed out, there is always "webmessenger".

Otherwise there is Skype chat as well as skype video. We use Skype to VC between offices, as it's cheap (OK, Free) and reasonable quality.

Blimey - I run the IT here and my predecessor banned MSN and ran a WebMarshal system so basically the internet is a no go zone outside of breaktimes - I am ok though as I have a direct connection out
