I don't yet want to name& shame. it could just be that they are busy in the workshop and not getting to the phone. they have in the past answered. but as of today the office number is being transferred to an o2 mailbox. I have left 3 requests for them to call me. If by end of today they haven't I will then have to reconsider the name/shame

AFAIK, Paypal cover you for the first £500 of any purchase if it goes sour.

Well I have just checked this guy on ebay. At the time I ordered he had 100% positive feeback, but now the last two are saying that they have not recieved their gates, will not answer phone/email etc. Starting to sound familiar

Ok, yeah, so when I got hit with Flu and Pneumonia I still managed to at least email all my customers to let them know the situation/delay... ... but to be honest,it was a close thing. I almost got a mate to login on my behalf, but the feeling that that would be seen as maybe a bit false/not kosha etc just beat the feelings of complete energy drainage. It did take me almost all day to write a few emails though. ![]() I can understand the 'cynical conclusion' - but it could be an honest feck-up due to 'life'. I'll stop playing Devil's Advocate now... ... burn his workshop down! ![]() |

i know a few generally good ebayers whove ended up with accounts closed and bad feedback from not being able to get to a machine for a while, or just been plain busy.
however if theyve got enough time to list the items and take your money then they should hold up there part of the deal. so as has been said, burn down is workshop, nah kidding, keep trying to contact him, if no gates or contact by friday, goto paypal and get your money back |

Well, considering the gates are now 3 weeks after the scheduled delivery date and that I have made over 40 phone calls in the past 2 days to his workshop I felt I had no choice but to go into the paypal dispute mechanism.
I placed my order on 16th February with a guy who had 100% positive feedback. Since then he has recieved 3 new feedbacks of :- 21st Feb - EXCELLENT PRODUCT WILL DEFINETLY USE AGAIN A++++++++++++++++++ THANKS 10th Mar - ONLY DELIVER HALF OF ITEMS ORDERED USING PAYPAL, OWES ME £70.00, IGNORES EMAILS. 13th Mar - NO GATE RECIEVED OWES ME £45 IGNORES ALL COMMINICATION A DISGRACE So I am not the only person trying to chase this guy. Hopefully because I used paypal, I should be able to recover my costs from them. It has however left a sour taste. There are many honest traders out there. A few bad apples ruin it for all.

perhaps he's going into liquidation and raising a bit of last minute funds without sending the goods...
I would go the paypal route let them do the chasing- or PM Kwak the details.. wolverhampton is 10 mins from him.. he can ride over and just look a at the factory- take you a piccy - ... it might be closed and finally- its gates-... good job you didnt take afence..!! ha ha |
