A 5/8 spark plug socket will work just fine as well if you have one of them laying arround

old thread revived!! does anyone know if a gsxr toolkit (mainly the spark plug hinged tool) would work for the sv650 (sk3) - its just mine came without the tool kit..

On the faired curvy, the side panels attach to the radiator so you need to shift those too.

As northwind says Baph, it's easy to get to the front plug on our bikes as they are pointies. Suzuki probably did it to make getting WD40 onto it easier when the front pot was cutting out in the wet.

I use a socket out of my Teng socket set.
And a useful tip courtesy of the Haynes manual. Use a short length of hosepipe which slips over the ceramic end of the plug and start the thread that way. Also handy for pulling the plug out if the socket hasn't got a rubber "grabber" inside. |
