Maybe her bike is scared of trouble, and refuses to start in the front garden because it's scared of WVM!

I think the SV has a tilt switch?
What about the alarm tilt switch?

Both could be getting stuck I suppose?

I think the bike is posessed and needs exorcism. Go to your local church end get the priest to bless it. All should be fine then

Same thing happens to my sister's Freelander - starts on the drive but not if left parked outside on the road

Problem turned out to be a metal box on top of the telegraph pole outside her house(some kind of transformer) punting out some kind of radio-waves. Pushing the car 5 yards down the road solved the problem.

Same problem occurs apparently on some petrol station forecourts and only to certain vehicles....

Keyless-Go Renault Lagunas were prone to this when parked under neon lights.

Ah, electro-magnetic induction caused by radio interference. Got to love it.

Those be older style mobile phone transmitters. Loads of petrol stations put them up inside the signs that advertise prices. Hidden out of view & a good way to generate income.
