A tip for those who work near NCP car parks:

they are supposed to charge a pound for bikes but it's actually free, just duck round the barriers. More secure (the car parks are covered in CCTV) and your bike stays dry.

'Tis true, I work for them. The £1 is a nominal fee as motorbikes aren't recognised by the parking equipment but in reality it's never collected by the attendants.
