...although all petrol is a few million years old already (plant fossils). Two more years can't be that bad? (Coat! Taxi!).

After 2 years it might have gone mank in the bowls, you might need a carb strip to clean the gunk out, but try ya luck with just some fresh stuff in the tank first

Not quite.

Crude oil is a few million years old, but petrol is a man made derivative which goes off after a while.

I put old fuel in the car, big tank dilutes well and never had an issue.
